Thousands of tourists come to India every year and enjoy the beauty, culture, heritage, and food. While exploring Delhi and the National Capital Region, tourists often depend on the Delhi Metro. Alex, one such tourist, has been very impressed with the Delhi Metro. A video he made at the Rajiv Chowk station has gone viral.
In the video, he can be seen entering the metro station and just mouthing “wow”. Later on in the video, there are shots of a kiosk, the escalator and a signboard, and the metro gate closing with people entering the train. The video starts with the text in caption, “POV: Delhi’s metro is nicer than London Underground.”
The video was posted on his Instagram page, @alexwandersyt, with the caption, “Follow @alexwandersyt for more India content. India’s metro is niceee with it. Rajiv Chowk, Delhi. Video inspired by my friend @alexweldertravels – check out his page for better travel content than mine.”
The appreciation video has gone viral with 585K views and 30.3K likes on the social media platform.

Many users commented on how great the Delhi Metro is. One user commented, “As someone currently in the UK, Delhi metro is so so so much better.” Another user said, “Bro chose the best metro station. Nice.”
A third user wrote, “Indian influencer showing negatives by comparing foreign and they vice versa.”
A fourth user commented, “Proud to be Indian. I just hope we will keep it that way without trashing, making it dirty and spitting everywhere, would be nice if people start taking showers and show up clean, and stop being so loud on public transport, stop talking on the phone. Honestly so much growth is yet to come but this is the step in the right direction.”
This is, naturally, not the first time tourists have been impressed with the Delhi Metro. In May, 2024, an Irish couple, travel vloggers, shared their experience saying, “The Delhi metro is one of the smoothest, safest and cleanest metros we have come across in any city we’ve been. Not to mention how cheap it is,” their caption said.”
